Digilent Motor adapter for NI myRio

mill4048

Question

Recently connected motor adapter to myRIO and I am able to program stepper motor using digital outputs and can read them using leds on the motor adapter but when I connect power and motor to J4 and J5 I cannot get motor spin. I'm not sure how to map my outputs to j4 and j5.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

This issue was answered long time ago directly to John. Still, I include the answer here maybe is useful to someone else.

To correctly drive the Motor Adapter for NI myRIO please take a look to the schematic http://www.digilentinc.com/Data/Products/MYRIO-MOTOR-ADAPTER/Motor_Adapter_NI_myRIO_sch.pdf

and to A4973 driver datasheet: http://www.allegromicro.com/~/media/Files/Technical-Documents/AN296086-A3953-to-A4973-Application-Note.ashx?la=en

Here is a demo showing how a stepper motor can be controlled with Motor Adapter.
