Pmod

Brooke

Question

Hi:  A few month ago I got LabVIEW home version and now have it working with the SparkFun Red Board (Arduino) using LINX.  While learning about LINX I discovered the Digilent Pmod boards which are very impressive.  But the LabVIEW MakerHub web page just lists the LINX commands but does not say which hardware they need.  Here's a list of the LINX commands (but not what boards they need):

http://www.prc68.com/I/LabVIEW.html#LINX

Do the Pmod boards work with ChipKit?  Maybe the Digilent web page that lists the Pmod boards could also have some information on what boards they work with?

Have Fun,  Brooke

Hi Brooke,

Pmod boards do work with chipKIT boards. The idea behind Pmods is that they use a de-facto interface protocol such as SPI or I2C so they are able to communicate with any system (such as LabVIEW, chipKIT, FPGAs, or other microcontroller boards) that are able to use that communication protocol.

You can find the most up to date list of Pmods and their related materials on our Wiki here.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks,
JColvin
