  1. I am doing an image processing (not video) with Zybo Z7, and I am writing my own algorithm in C and C++ language for the image processing algorithm. For the simulation (without camera), I have some ready photos that can be loaded from SD card and then I want to test the performance of my algorithm on. I know Xilinx provide xsdps driver for the SD card, but I don't know how to use it for my project. But For the real application, the image processing will be done on the photos that are taken regularly by a camera. My priority, for now, is to first test my code using simulation. Could someone provide me a tutorial or a sample project? All the tutorials on the internet are about processing Video (not simple images)
  2. Hello Digilent Community, I am working on a image processing project and was wondering if anyone had advice or could point me in the right direction. I have tried following some tutorials and example projects, but I am still trying to wrap my head around Xilinx Vivado and SDK. The project really shouldn't be very difficult, I think I am just missing some information or the best way to go about doing it. For the project I am using the Zybo z7-20 development board and want to save two images to an SD card. The two pictures are black and white frames from a video just seconds apart, so there is only slight change in the frames themselves. I want to compare the two frames and output either a black and white image of the change in pixels or a binary file of '0' being an unchanged pixel and '1' being a change in the pixel. MATLAB has the 'Computer Vision System Toolbox' 'Tracking Cars Using Foreground Detection' Simulink example that is similar to what I want to do on the Zybo z7-20 FPGA. The following figure show the original video (right) with blob detection (the green square) and the binary output image of the change in pixels in the foreground (left). I want to use the Zynq Processor and write C code to do the analysis, but I haven't found a clear way to access the SD card from the Xilinx SDK. The following figure is of my current Block Design with only the Zynq Processor as well as some GPIO to test. I am still researching and looking at examples to compare, but wanted to see if the community had any pointers or if someone has done this before. I am a college student and I have been really interested FPGA's and digital design for the past 6-9 months, but I have mainly written my own Verilog code and haven't worked with block design or running C code on any of my designs. Any comments or suggestions would be great. Thanks!
  3. Hi, I would like to see the logging have the option to log the (Scope Image) every time the logging saves a CSV file, ie (xxxx.csv), (xxxx.jpg). This should be quite simple to add this function to logging as Export Image already exists. This would be great to quickly view images of logged data to add into reports or select a CSV file for processing. The only way to save a scope image at present is to use, File> Export> Image> SAVE. Might this be implemented in the future? Thanks

Hello, i have been searching for a ready to use image to boot form a zybo. where i can make a bootable sdcard just like this e.g.: dd bs=4M if=/path/to/zybo.iso of=/dev/sdx I tried building it with the peta linux guide. This is old and deprecated. Peta linux is missing from the Xilinx website if you dig a little bit deeper you get to the download site for this peta linux. I couldn't find anything there. Isn't there some prebuild image for this hardware somewhere ? Thank you very much.
  5. I'm making a project about image processing. The board used in the project is the Zybo board and operates on a frame 1920x1080 (Full HD). My project is Square Area Detection Then motion detection within the rectangular area. I would like to ask for advice or guidance directs the operation of the mine. (I'm new to Zybo boards and I just learned recently.) If anyone has suggestions and links for learning. Please direct me and attach the link. Thanks in advance. ^__^

Add Ip 6. Add Zynq7 Processing System. 7. Run Block Automation 8. Route M_AXI_GP0_ACLK pin to FCLK_CLK0 pin. 9. Validate Design (no error). 10. create wrapper 11. Generate Bit stream 12. Export> Export hardware (include bitstream). 13.launch SDK. 14. Create new application (c++). 15. Write my code #include<stdio.h> int main() { while (true) { printf("sin\n\n"); } return 0; } 16. save 17. create new application Name: FSBL Os platform: Standalone hardware platform: design_1_wrapper_hw_platform_0 Processor: ps7_cortex_a9_0 language: C Board support package: create new 18. slelect "Zyng FSBL" template 19.Create Boot Image *.bif path. 21. add FSBL.elf as bootloader file 22. add design_1_wrapper.bit as data file 23. add Myapp.elf as data file 24.create BOOT.bin file 25. format SD card as FAT format mode. 26. copy BOOT.bin file into SD card 28. put SD card into Slot 29. change JP5 Jumper in SD mode 30. power on. But only Red LED turn on, and green LED turn off for all time. PLEASE HELP ME ABOUT THIS TOPIC (Excuse me for my bad English)

    Zybo ROM

    Ho everyone, I am working on a zybo to program a game. I am facing the task of image processing. I understand that the best way is using ROM to store coe file and use them, but I don't know how to convert an image to a coe file. Another question is if the 16 bit output of the single port ROM is already the encoding of the vga output or I need to makes some changes, and how to process the printing of the image. And I was also wondering if I can put more then one image in the ROM. Thank you

    Zybo processing image

    Hi, I am developing a game on a Zybo board. I have already programmed the VGA and a NES controller in VHDL. Now I am facing the problem of implementing the game. I want to use level backward image and running sprite image of the characters of the game on them. My questions are: how can I store the images of the levels and the sprite sheet on the RAM? and how can I process those images for running the game? Thank you
