Hi all, New to the FPGA world as I was tasked a project to help familiarize myself with the programming and function of how FPGAs work. As you can all infer, I am in need of some help on a specific project that I am doing. I am using a ZYBO Zynq 7000 development board, and Vivado 2019.1. What I am trying to do is control an external sensor, or LED through some user interface. I have seen a lot of tutorials that use the on-board LEDs, and if you press a button, it displays that value in binary in a command terminal. For the waveform generator to be useful as a load step FET controller, I will need to control both the rise time and fall time of the same pulse. Any suggestions for most easily achieving this?
I downloaded the Arty General I/O Demo, and followed the instructions in the "how to generate a project from Digilent's GIThub" I was talking to someone else about revision control for Vivado, and they described a similar process, using the journal to capture what you have done, and making a tcl file to re-generate the project. I want to know how to do this? Do you have a document or wiki page that describes how to set this up? Which files you need to store in order to re-generate your project, and how to set up the tcl file? There is a Write Project tcl generator in Vivado now, but it
