I have at least 4 older chipKIT Max32s and a few Network shields for Ethernet and the CAN buses. Can I use the older Network shields on the newest Max32s from Digilent? Also, I will be creating my own shield soon, which will have 2 x CAN, 1 x RS485, at least one dsPIC for 2 x QEI communicating serially to the Max32, and use at least 4 PWMs, Are there differences in the shields? If I design a shield for the older chipKIT, will it work on the newest Max32? Is there a change log for the changes between the Max32s? It would be nice if the outside headers are in the same location and
Are Analog Shield and Network Shields are compatible with the chipKIT Max32 at the same time? If so are there any special considerations? Thanks you for any help you can provide.
Okay, I need someone to please point out the key piece of information I'm missing. I have years of microcontroller programming experience but am new to Digilient products. I have a chipKIT Max32 with "REV D" printed on the back in silkscreen. I look at the Rev D schematic on the Digilent website, and on sheet 5 of 5 there is a LED with reference designator "LD5" that is controlled by net "T2CK/RC1" (see snapshot below/attached). On schematic sheet 3 of 5 I see where the net "T2CK/RC1" is connected to reference designator "IC2PC" "Port C" on pin 6 (see snapshot below/attached). I program t
Hello! So here is my entry for Digilent's Halloween contest. This is my first time programming in MPIDE and doing something of this nature with microcontrollers, so I put a lot of hours into researching and getting it to work the way that I had planned (with quite a few setbacks along the way). A PIR sensor activates a servo attached to the doll's head, a digital voice recording module with a creepy audio clip, and some LEDs for the eyes. It's running on the chipKIT Max32. I will follow up with a link to an instrucable when I have time to hammer that out. I had a lot of fun doing this and le
