  1. Hello, I have got a Pmod grove RTC which I hoped to be able to use it the same way I have been using my Pmod Grove IMU (using the example C code that is provided here), however I noticed there is no such example code for the Grove RTC. I am aware of the Arduino and python scripts that are available on Grove RTC webpage, but due to some limitations I need to use it the same way I am using Grove IMU device (which is using it with PYNQ board). Does anybody know if there is such example code written in C language for this device out there that I can use? It seems to be a simple I2C device, however I have not found any straightforward library for it yet. There are several DS1307 devices, each with their own i2c library, but I need to use i2c.h that exists on the pynq project. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mahdi
  2. Greetings I am a lowly programming intern at a company manufacturing (among other things) small computers for embedded integration. I have been handed a handful of Digilent PMOD devices that looked interesting for the company to write drivers for. So far, it has been a valuable (and quite fun) experience, but I've hit a wall with the Pmod PMON1. My experience is in mechanics and pure programming and my electrical knowledge is limited. An electrical engineer helped me set up a monitored device with controlable load, and I know Digilent's approach to the I²C protocol from the Pmod HYGRO. Now, following the same protocol and what I understand from the documentation, I have written the code below. I would assume to get two different values from the digilent_pmodpmon1_get_resistance() calls to reflect the changed load, but I just get the same data twice: 32, 10. What am I misunderstanding?
  3. Hi everyone, I downloaded digilent.waveforms_3.2.6_armhf.deb and installed it on my system. The "dwfcmd" command is working fine and the python examples also work. Now I want to compile the C examples and I keep getting errors: analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x74): undefined reference to `FDwfDeviceOpen' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x9c): undefined reference to `FDwfGetLastErrorMsg' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0xd4): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInFrequencySet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0xec): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInBufferSizeSet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x110): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInChannelEnableSet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x128): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInChannelRangeSet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x13c): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInTriggerAutoTimeoutSet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x154): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInTriggerSourceSet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x168): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInTriggerTypeSet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x17c): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInTriggerChannelSet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x190): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInTriggerLevelSet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x1a4): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInTriggerConditionSet' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x1f4): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInConfigure' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x208): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInStatus' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x248): undefined reference to `FDwfAnalogInStatusData' analogin_trigger.c:(.text+0x2dc): undefined reference to `FDwfDeviceCloseAll' I used clang and gcc to build the analogin_trigger.c sample: clang analogin_trigger.c Where is my mistake?

    Time measure SDSoC

Hello. I can't catch times measures by standards procedures ( "time.h" in C per example) How can I measure the time that one process uses with C in SDSoC? Thanks
  5. How do I turn on LCDs on Pmod board using a Compiler? I understand that I need to activate the board and turn on the unit before I can utilize the LCDs. I am a student and I am working on a project. Any input is considered helpful. Thank you
  6. Good morning, Is there a way to mix C with assembly code for the UC32 when using Arduino IDE? Document AT1886 describes how to accomplish this for Atmel chips, but I am wondering if the same thing is possible for the Chipkit devices since they use PIC microcontrollers? Here is some more background: I am writing a program for the UC32, and have an assembly program for the PIC32MX340 that I want to call. The assembly function has several arguments, as well as an output. I am wondering if there is any documentation for how to pass data to an assembly program from C? Additionally, which compiler does Arduino IDE use for the Chipkit UC32? It would help if I could find that information. Thanks, Ryan
  7. Hi all, I've recently bought an Arty board (Microblaze processor) and some Pmods (PmodDPOT, PmodDAs, PmodADs), which use SPI protocol. I've looked everywhere for an example on how to access the Pmod headers or just how to use Pmods with the Arty but I couldn't find anything (even on the reference wiki page for the Arty). I found a library for SPI on Xilinx SDK which is called Xspi but I also am not sure how to use it. Can anybody perhaps help me by giving me the basic steps on how to do this? I'm very new to FPGA, so any feedback or suggestions are welcome! Thanks Viv
