  1. Hello, Are the Basys 2 and the Basys 2 Spartan 3E FPGA boards the same?. Also, I saw you have a lot of labs of the Basys 2 board's requirement in both the Digilent website and the "Real Digital - A hands-on approach to digital design" text book. I would think if I buy the Basys 2 Spartan 3E FPGA board for my class at University of Calfornia at Irvine and use this FPGA board for the labs on your website and the text book "Real Digital - A hands-on approach to digital design". If I do this way, I can save cost for buying the FPGA board. Have the great holidays, Jonathan Tran
  2. Let's say I have a .bit file on my Mac, and I've got a Nexys 2 plugged into a USB port. As far as I know, Adept isn't available for OS X. What, if any, are my options for programming the board? Is there any documentation available for interfacing with the USB-FX2 controller it uses? (If it comes down to it, I'm comfortable putting something together with libusb.) (Yes, I'm perfectly aware that the Xilinx tools don't run on Mac OS X. And no, I'd prefer to not use a virtual machine. I have my reasons.)
  3. Hi, I've been working for a while now to create a program which generates a specific signal. I think I may have succeeded but I don't know how to verify that. I was hoping that there would be a way to use the Diligent Adept software or Xilinx ISE to see what my board is outputting. Hardware/software; Im using A nexys 4 board, ISE 14.7, and adept 2. The code I have was generated by Matlab's hdl coder and the out puts are two 10-bit signals. Thanks.

    Nexys4 Board.

I was Interested to see the Nexys4 DDR board appearing the the "Coming soon" category (http://www.digilentinc.com/Products/Detail.cfm?Prod=NEXYS4DDR) Makes me sad to see the old boards going End Of Life, especially since the Nexys3 and Nexys4 are relatively new products.
  5. Here is a question a customer about programming JTAG 3 with older FPGA board. Can someone help on this? QuestionsI was wondering if I could use the JTAG 3 cable to program older digilent fpga boards that use the 6 pin connector?I understand that the connector is different, but if I hook up the right signals from the 14-pin connector to the right pins in the older 6-pin header, that should work as well right?
  6. I have a customer asking the following question. If I buy the $10 Basys 3-locked Vivado Design Suite, would the license enable me to install it on more than one computer? And if not, could I purchase an additional copy for another $10? Can I someone answer?
  7. Does anyone knows about Rugged Plastic case for Zybo? Is there mentioned that on our website? See the customer's question: We are planning to use the Zybo board in some new courses that that we have at the Technical University of Denmark. I'll be teaching two of those courses. Since the boards are going to be used in a lab environment we would like to protect them. I've can see from the description of the Zybo that you have on your web site that you offer also a Rugged Plastic case. As far as I know Digilent doesn't offer that. Is there any place where I can buy the case? If you have a 3D model of the case might also help since we could 3D print the cases ourselves.
  8. What is the target pricing and availability for the new NetFPGA SUME board? http://netfpga.org/2014/#/systems/1netfpga-sume/details/
  9. Hi all, I am a newbie into the world of FPGAs and HDLs. I am currently taking a logic design course where I am required to present a project by the end of this year. I would like to buy either a Basys3 or a Nexys4 board, but I am unsure as to how I could interface any of these boards with other external components, such as sound sensors, servos, (another development board perhaps?), and so on. Please, try not to consider Pmods, as they are somewhat expensive to my budget for now. Your help is greatly appreciated.
  10. Hi all, I try to store data in my Spartan-6 fpga, but I dont really know how to start with. Can anyone give me some suggestion? I've been trying search for any sample code to do that but so far I have not found any yet. Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks!
  11. Hello, Starting with VHDL coding and working on FPGA, I am interested in this field and need more the improvements for my self in day by days basic. I have my development board of Spartan6 - FPGA and need to buy the lab book of "Real Digital - A hand-ons Approach To Digital Design" for lab purposes, and get more hands-on or experiences. I have two questions and need to discussing with all of you: 1. If I use this lab book above, can I use the Spartan-6 to work all or some exercises in this lab book?. 2. Are all exercises in this lab book of "Real Digital - A hand-ons Approach To Digital Design" having their answer keys or the screen captured solutions from their simulations?. Thanks
