    Cmod C2 dev kit

A customer on our website asked the following question: I want to use a Xilinx Coolrunner II for some glue logic. Do you have a dev kit with the CMOD C2, recommended USB programmer, compiler and some VHDL tutotrials/examples? The response is below.
  2. Hi LariSan, You can comfortably use a 2.5A, 5V DC power supply as per this thread here: Digilent has such a power supply available on their store here: http://store.digilentinc.com/5v-2-5a-switching-power-supply/ Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, JColvin
  3. Hello, I have a clarification question so that I can make sure we answer your question accurately. When you say transceiver board, do you mean an RF transceiver? Or do you mean a high speed transceiver (not RF)? Thanks, JColvin
  4. A customer on our website asked the following question: Hello sir, myself brijesh I'm looking for TRANSCEIVER board that have built in FPGA with FMC connector. The required FREQUENCY OUTPUT from transmitter is 60MHz.Do you have the tranceiver board which is as per my requirement ? The response is below.
  5. Hello, It sounds like you need to add the Digilent board files to Vivado. You can follow our guide that we have on our Wiki here. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, JColvin
  6. A customer on our website asked the following question: I am trying to use your ARTY board for an undergrad research project at Montana State University. I got a free license of Vivado, but i can't find the board under the project settings tab. How do I add this board to the project device menu? Thanks The response is below.
  7. Hi Eric, The pins on the Pmod connectors are 0.1 inches apart (between the individual pins) and the connectors themselves are spaced 0.9 inches apart from center to center. More details on their form factor can be found in the Pmod Standard guide here. Thanks, JColvin
  8. Just to clarify/add to what attila said, the Adept Runtime installer (the install_digilent.exe inside of the ISE or Vivado installation) is able to run by itself without any internet access or needing the rest of the Xilinx tools. Alternatively, you can get Adept Runtime by downloading the Adept System and choosing just the Adept Runtime in the GUI that appears when you run the executable (in the case of Windows) or Adept Runtime (in the case of Linux) from the Adept 2 Resource Center here. In either case, you will need admin privileges in order to install it. Thanks, JColvin
  9. Hi Allan, I have asked some of our applications engineers for their recommendation for either a connector or an alternate board recommendation. The will get back to you here on the forum. Thanks, JColvin
  10. Hi traymond, I have moved your question to the FPGA section of our Forum. There are some beginner projects for getting started with the Arty board; they are available in the Arty Resource Center under "Tutorials" and "Reference Projects". I would recommend starting out with the either the General I/O Demo or Getting Started with Microblaze. Additionally, there are some materials for getting started with the Basys 3 on our Learn site that are easily adaptable to Arty here. When you download Vivado, you will get an option to check a box that says "Install Cable Drivers". Also, do you happen to mean Vivado Design Suite 2016? I do not believe Vivado has a 2006 edition. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, JColvin

    Hi

Hi Natsu, The Digilent Forum is primarily a place where people are able to ask questions regarding or involving Digilent products. Do you have any questions related to any of our products? But to answer your question, no, we do not have a campfire that you may eat. Thanks, JColvin
  12. A customer on our website asked the following question: Hello Digilent! When i was working with my Analog Discovery yesterday, it suddenly stopped working. The problems are as follows;1. I cannot connect my analog to waveforms - it tells me that "Device configuration failed" and gives me the error message:DptilO failed ERC:7Device configuration failed (PLL 3).2. When i somehow sometimes manage to get through the configuration phase, Waveforms simply tells me that "The Analog Discovery has stopped working due to an overcurrent condition" - even though i haven't connected it to anything at all. 3. All the time i am let through to the Digilent Waveforms menu, there is a flashing message in the bottom right corner saying "Discovery OFF".I do of course have screenshots of all three issues, but it seems like i cannot attach them here. For troubleshooting i have tried using different USB ports on my PC - and even tried connecting the Analog Discovery to different Computers, where other Analog Discoveries were working, but nothing seemed to be able to solve the problem - my Analog Discovery gave the same error messages everywhere. I also tried the provided troubleshooting steps and restart the analog etc. I hope that you can help me! I'm not familiar with this error, so I don't personally have any recommendations, but I'll make sure the appropriate engineer see's your question. You can post any screenshots that you have though on our Forum Gallery (you'll need to create an album). Thanks, JColvin
  13. A customer on our website asked the following question: Hi, I did all the troubleshooting techniques in the thread and I am still getting the error "Device configuration failed". I am attaching the error message with this email. Is there anything further the customer could try? The error message they refer to is available on our Gallery here. Thanks, JColvin

  15. Hi yzhu, So I went and added the most recent Analog Shield library (available from GitHub here) as well as a couple of older versions of the library on both MPIDE and Arduino IDE 1.6.x as was able to successfully compile the various examples without any complaints from the compiler. Are you using the most recent version of the Analog Shield library? Thanks, JColvin
  16. Hi CoraMatt, Unfortunately, I don't have any access to the appropriate files; I'll ask some of our applications engineers to see if they can provide you the mechanical drawings though. Thanks, JColvin
  17. Hello, Both the PmodTMP2 and PmodTMP3 are compatible with the chipKIT uC32 microcontroller through the I2C interface. Example code for them is available on their Resource Centers here and here, respectively. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, JColvin
  18. A customer on our website asked the following question: Hello Digilent. I currently own the uC32 microcontroller. I would like to make a temperature display system using a Pmod and 8 segment display for my grandma. Currently, I am looking at the PmodTMP2 and PmodTMP3. Are either of these Pmod's compatible with the I^2C interface of my microcontroller? Just making sure before I buy, thank you. The response is below.
  19. Hi derjape, It explains in the video on LINX Software setup page (around the 1 minute mark) that the LabVIEW Home Edition has since been updated (within the last few months) to include the Application Builder with it. If you have installed LabVIEW Home previously, you will be able to right click on the Application Builder and activate it without having to re-purchase LabVIEW Home Edition. Naturally, Digilent doesn't have any control over the NI page on LabVIEW home, but I see if Digilent can update our own page to reflect this. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, JColvin
  20. Hi CoraMatt, Digilent does not have any templates available for a shield that fits the Uno32. We do sell a protoshield for the Uno32, which does connect all all of the pins (although I'm not sure if you just wanted all of the physical pins rather than have the pins connected by functionality like SPI). However, we do not manufacture the protoshield so we are not able to offer any schematics for it; all we have is this document from the manufacturer. Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks, JColvin
  21. Hello, The LabVIEW Home Bundle 2014 includes the following (taken from the National Instruments page): the LabVIEW Full Development System the LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module and the LabVIEW MathScript RT Module So I guess the most similar other LabVIEW product would be the LabVIEW Student Edition, except that the Home Bundle has the Full Development System of LabVIEW. That being said, the LabVIEW Home Bundle is only licensed for non-commericial, non-industrial, and non-academic purposes. I guess as another side note, when you purchase the LabVIEW Home Bundle, you own that license and it will not expire after a year or anything like that. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks, JColvin
  22. A customer on our website asked the following question: I found the "Labview Home Bundle 2014" on your online store. Can you please tell me what the restrictions to a full license from NationalInstruments are?To which Edition is the Home b√ľndle similar? The response is below.
  23. Hello, I have asked some of our applications engineers about this; they will get back to you on this thread on the Forum. Thanks, JColvin
  24. A customer on our website asked the following question: I need driver installer for the HS2 that enables stand-alone driver installation, without internet access, but I don't find one on your web site. Is it available? The response is below.
  25. Hello, I am personally not familiar with this error, but in terms of troubleshooting I would double-check that downloaded the correct form of Waveforms for my operating system and attempt to download the software a second time after removing the (apparently) corrupt version from my computer to ensure there was not an error mid-download. I have placed this question where the appropriate engineer most familiar will be able to see and add any additional details if necessary. Thanks, JColvin
