  1. No, sorry if not clear. I was trying to ship the ADP3450 out in the field with a mobile hotspot and remote control it from the office. ADP3450 would be using a USB-WiFi dongle because small "portable" mobile hotspots generally do not have Ethernet ports. There are big "internet via cellular" routers have Ethernet ports but sounds like it would also need to run VPN.
  2. Thanks for the reply attila, but actually this was in Linux mode because a USB WiFi dongle can only be connected in Linux mode. I see now how you got it working. You're using Ethernet cable and VPN. Unfortunately, I am trying to use it with a mobile hotspot for the ADP3450. These small hotspots do not generally have Ethernet ports. Having to use VPN and Ethernet with a mobile hotspot adds more equipment and complication. I think I'll give up on the idea. Good to know it works with Ethernet and VPN. Thanks for your thoughts though.
  3. Hello, I'm trying to remote control Waveforms to an ADP3450 over the internet and I'm getting an error. I have set DMZ on the router to the IP of the ADP3450. In Waveforms, I've added it as a remote device and it successfully connects to the device such that when I click on the "Click to Load" on the Status line it shows a popup "Connecting to the device" and shows the IP address of the remote ADP3450. But once I click on "Select" to select the configuration, it pops up with "DmgrOpen ERC 3072 Device opening failed." Attached below. Any suggestions on how to fix? (Edit: This is on Ubuntu 20.04, Waveforms is latest download 3.18.1, and it all runs fine if I remote control the unit over the local network using a USB WiFi dongle.)
  4. Just wanted to chime in that this issue is also very important. The Raspberry Pi is very popular and makes an excellent inexpensive controller and you guys should really consider making it reliable with AD2. I am building a commercial battery characterization setup that can run 10 stations in parallel (since it can take days to run each battery). I got the OK to buy 10 x [Rpi3 + Keithley 2461 sourcemeters] (and the 2461 is $8k each) but ran into a bug in their digitizer. While I wait for Keithley to debug, I am designing a Plan B using your competitor's USB scope/AWG/analyzer, one that works very well with Rpi3. There's extra time to develop a custom board for this solution but management will like this very cheap solution. I personally own an AD1, AD2 and Electronics Explorer I bought myself so I love your stuff, but really need the reliable Rpi3 communication. Thanks for considering.
