  1. Hi @kpax, Are you able to program other boards or see data from a compatible smart phone with the USB A to Micro-B cable you are using? Concerning the FTDI drivers, the FTDI drivers should have downloaded and installed the first time you connected the Arty to your computer. The FTDI drivers can be downloaded from here. Have you used another computer with Vivado? Please download Adept 2 here and see if this software can connect to your Arty(make sure Vivado is not connected to your Arty in any way). I have included some screen shots below. Also to clarify when you connect the Arty the power led ld11 turns on? cheers, Jon
  2. Hi @smarano, I am not aware of another program other that Vivado that can program the flash. Unfortunately, Adept 2 will not program the flash. I do know that you can program the flash from the stand alone hardware manager in Vivado. thank you, Jon
  3. Hi @brhack, Welcome to the forums! Could you elaborate more on your thread. Not 100% sure what V5 or V7 is. Are you talking about Virtex 5 and Virtex 7? Or are you referring to Vivado 2015 and Vivado 2017? It depends on what you are looking to develop as well as what platform to what board you should get. If you are looking into Zynq there is the Arty-Z7, Zybo, Zedboard or the Pynq board. If you are looking for Artix 7 only then I would look at the Arty, Basys 3, Cmod A7, Nexys 4DDR or the Nexys Video.I believe all of these boards have a quad spi flash. I am not sure which if any of the fpga boards work with labview. I have reached out to a couple of my co-workers that will know more about the compatibility with labview( @AustinStanton, @JColvin). cheers, Jon

  17. Hi @hirayaku, I did a compare on the SDK log files between my project and yours.I attached my SDK log below. The major difference I found is at the begining of you log it states 4:42:35 INFO : Disconnected from the channel tcfchan#1. and mine does not. Looking into tcf here looks like this is how the SDK communicates to the hardware. I believe that the reason you are having issues is that your project is in the Xilinx folder. I would suggest to use a different place for your project. Please let me know if this fixes your issues. Also have you tried running any of the projects from our github here? cheers, Jon SDK_log.txt
  18. Hi @hirayaku, I made your project the same in vivado as your block design. Exported the hardware including the bitstream and launched sdk. In sdk,I click on new application. I named it and hit next. Then I clicked on hello world template and finish. I next set up the serial terminal. I used tera term to connect as my serial terminal. It must be set to 115200 for the baud rate. I leave it set at the default settings for everything else. Next you click on program fpga in sdk. Next right click on the application you made and choose run as-> launch on hardware(system debugger). The word hello world should print in the serial terminal. I have attached screen shots of what i am talk about as well as a picture of the zybo. Make sure to have the mode JP5 set as shown. I also took screen shots of what the zybo should look like in the device manager. cheers, Jon zybo.zip
  19. Hi @hirayaku, Could you please post a screen shot of the block design in vivado and console messages and code in sdk as well. when you run what selection did you choose i.e. launch on hardware system debug? what version of vivado? what OS are you using? cheers, Jon
  20. Hi Mihamed, @Bianca or @attila should be able to help you with this issue when they are in next. cheers, Jon
  21. Hi Lawi, I had our design engineer look at this issue and this sounds like there might be an issue with the Cmod A7. I have sent you a PM about what to do from here. cheers, Jon
  22. Hi Lawi, Another way to connect to the Cmod A7 and see it is through Digilents Adept 2(here). I have attached a screen shot of what Adept looks like when connected to the Cmod A7. Please download and attach a screen shot of whats Adept 2 see's with your Cmod A7 attached. Also have you tried using an externally powered usb hub? cheers, Jon
  23. Hi Lawi, What do you see in the device manager when the Cmod A7 is connected. I have attached a screen shot of what it looks like on my laptop. Just to clarify, does the Cmod A7 connect and then disconnects moments later? And without you removing the usb to micro b cable or moving the Cmod A7? Are you able to do the tutorial here? cheers, Jon
  24. Hi Robin, I am tagging the engineer( @Bianca ) that has been handling most of the issues with the EEPROM to this thread. cheers, Jon
  25. Hi Marius, Unfortunately, I havent had a chance to worked with the AD-FMCOMMS-EBZ or GNURadio but this project sounds very interesting. Hopefully someone in the community will be able to give you some more insight on your project. cheers, Jon
