      Hi @harika,

      We ask that you post questions on the forum so others that might have similar questions can benefit from the thread. Here is the zedboard resource center. Make sure that you have installed the digilent board files and the you select the digilent board file when creating a zedboard project. Here is a tutorial on using IP Cores.

      thank you,

      Jon

  4. Hi Jpeyron,

    we currently have the analogue discovery unit we are trying to set up a data logger to allow us to measure frequency at 3dp eg 50.124hz at 100ms for 35 minuted but the maximum seems to be 18 minutes but we can get round this by writing java script ?

    we also want to measure and analogue input,

    a binary triger to set the logger to start recording.

    but where struggling with script who can we chat to on here to assist me where 60% there

  5. Hi Jon,

    Would it be possible to share with me JTAG over USB schematic diagram used on Zybo board?

    On my custom card I want to combine UART and JTAG on a single USB connector. Digilent JTAG over UART-USB is very reliable and works seemlessly.

    Thank you.

      Hi @Notarobot,

      You will need to e-mail support.digilent@ni.com to discuss getting this information.

      cheers,

  7. So I have a question... I am trying to use my basys 3 fpga board to complete this assignment for my class... the problem is that the class is using the spartan 3 board, and ISE design suite... I have tried many times to download the ISE software but the thing does not work because of the licensing... attached  below is my lab... I have written the VHDL  code for the outputs as follow:

    W <= (NOT A AND D) OR (A AND NOT D) OR (B) OR (C);

    X <= (NOT A AND NOT C AND NOT D) OR (A AND D) OR (B AND NOT D) OR (C AND D);

    Y <= (B OR NOT D) AND (NOT C OR D);

    Z <= ( A OR B OR NOT D) AND ( NOT B OR C);

    now when I am trying to match this to the master xdc and I am  trying to use switches 0-4 for the inputs a-d, and I need to use the 7 segment display to represent the outputs as it is in the attachment... It is not working or I dont know how to do it... can anyone help me please

      Hi @fhhull,

      You can only use Vivado with the basys 3 but you can use the same vhdl code.  so A,B,C,D will be the for switches and W,X,Y, Z will be the different points on the 7 seg display. So here is a tutorial using the 7 seg display with a 4 bit input(switches). You will need to change the what pins are on based on you truth table. you will need a counter that runs a 4-1 mux as well as the anodes.  Your design should look something like the design here.

      cheers,

      Jon

  8. Hi
    I have ordered a Zybo board from element 14 India - DIGILENT 410-279P-KIT Development Board, XC7Z010 Zybo, Cortex-A9, 650MHz Dual Core CPU & Artix-7 FPGA
    Need to know what all includes are there apart from the board in the kit
    Whether any Vivado voucher license for Zybo is provided along with the kit, if not how to work with Xilinx Vivado
    Please help me out

    Regards

    Ajay

      Hi AJAY,

      My understanding is that it just comes with the Zybo dev board. You will need a USB A to Micro-B Cable(standard android cell phone charging/communication cable) to power and program the board like here. If you want to power it externally you will need something like this. It does not come with a voucher. Since Vivado 2015.4 the webpack(free) includes everything but the system generator for dsp which is included with the system edition described here. There is lots of tutorials for the Zybo here and demos here. Hope this helps!

  9. HI, I am new to this site and don't really know how it works?  I am very interested in the Analog Discovery but need a scope with 4 inputs.  Does Digilent make something that will act like a 14+ bit scope with 4 inputs?

      Hi dean,

      The AD2 has a Two-channel USB digital oscilloscope (1MΩ, ±25V, differential, 14-bit, 100Msample/sec, 30MHz+ bandwidth - with the Analog Discovery BNC Adapter Board)

      http://store.digilentinc.com/analog-discovery-2-100msps-usb-oscilloscope-logic-analyzer-and-variable-power-supply/

      so the AD2 has only the two channels but the EE board

      http://store.digilentinc.com/electronics-explorer-all-in-one-usb-oscilloscope-multimeter-workstation/

      has 4-channel 40MSa Oscilloscopes.

      thank you,

      Jon
