  1. I am trying to attach the ADP3450 in linux or ethernet linux mode with one of the four USB ports, to a serial port Pmod USBUART and a Pmod GPS device. I connected the Pmod USBUART and a Pmod GPS device to a laptop running windows 10 and some GPS programs available online, and it worked very well. I ran a virtual machine with Ubuntu 18.04 and loaded gpsd to access the same USB GPS device from linux, after some effort. The ADP3450 seems to have some different functionality for USB devices so I am having some trouble connecting the USB GPS device to the loaded version of gpsd on the linux image. Is there a special protocol for connecting serial UART USB devices on the ADP3450 linux mode?
  2. I had trouble finding a simple method to test and use the Pmod GPS, until I found that the Pmod UART has the same SPI connector as the Pmod GPS. Connect the two together and you have a simple completely functional USB GPS device that can be connected to any type of GPS logging program for a typical laptop. Many such programs are available online. If you give me a location to present this, I could better cover the details. It would be a perfect project description for validation and test of the Pmod GPS and Pmod UART.
  3. I used a Platinum USB SD Card memory reader SKU 15232830 Platinum USB-A and USB-C Memory Card Reader (PT-CRSAC1-C) - Only at Best Buy from Best Buy, and a Lexar 32 Gb microSD card SKU 15446558 Lexar 633x 32GB 100MB/s microSDHC Memory Card - 2 Pack. I also removed the deploy.env.sha1 file in case that interferes with the initialization process. It worked and reloaded the LinuxModeImage files, as shown below in the Termite console output. Success and thank-you very much. My new ADP3450 works again!
  4. I figured out how to install the standard recovery initiation files, and bring the linux mode console commands up on the console, but when I use the function deploy-to-emmc, I get a response that command does not exist. Is the function missing from the initiation files listed in the download page? The output is listed below:
  5. The line: FAT-fs (mmcblk0p1): Volume was not properly unmounted. Some data may be corrupt. Please run fsck. might indicate where the system went astray. I don't know if this is associated with the main memory block being a hardware problem, or the data stored in it being a software problem. If the system is being run from the USB drive Uboot recovery, it should not actually be using the stored memory of the original system to run the recovery linux image in the USB disk. The USB disk recovery should run independently of the corrupted system in the ADP 3450 hardware.
  6. However I try, I cannot login to the system, as the system declares that root account is locked. This is the output with a usb drive attached and initialization files in root directory:
  7. I received my new ADP 3450 and started using it. I have an older one as well, so I was somewhat more familiar with it. I was configuring the linux program on board through the tera term console with the windows 10 program for Waveforms. I programmed the wifi and started with the usb drive configuration when the ADP 3450 failed to complete a reinitialization function and hung up before the login statement was displayed. I tried to reload the initiation files for the linux program, but because the console program would not complete initialization I could not login and complete the reloading of initiation files. Thus the system remains non-functional, and I am not sure what I should do. Do I need to return the device? It failed within two hours of first usage.
