  1. Hi @Shalom, In case you want to match the output you'll use the 50Ohm jumper position in order to have adaptation. In this case your amplitude will be divided by 2. In the case you want to use the Gavegen just as a voltage source and don't want to reduce the amplitude, you can leave it to 0V. Regards, Bianca

  4. Hi Claudio, The same product will have different codes: 410-XXX, 210-XXX for different stages in the manufacturing process. For example on the PCB you'll see 200-338 that is assigned just for the PCB without the assembly. 210-338 was the assembled device, prototype that went for certification. 410 is the code for the assembled product + package, visible on the website. Since at the time we did the CE test the product was a prototype of the final revision, we used the internal 210-338. Regardless of the initial code, the product is identified with the numbers after the "-". Bianca

    Zybo Z7-20 Tutorial Help

    @rpudelko, Did you select the correct FPGA or board from the boards? This tutorial is made for the original Zybo. It should work but you had to select your own board. Zybo Z7-20 in your case, or if you worked with FPGA parts From the warning you received it seems to me that you selected the wrong part. Regards, Bianca

  13. Hi Enrique, If you don't have the correct drivers, different USB cables won't help. When you open Vivado do a right click on the icon and select Run As Administrator and then try again to call the path. If it doesn't work, contact the person who administrates your computer to install the drivers. If it's your personal computer, try to enable the administrator account from Computer Management.   17. Hi @JohnnyG, You can use the board to solder components on it, it has direct connection to the user power supply so you can power your circuit directly from there. However, if you don't want to solder components we placed a small breadboard on the package. You can stick it on the adapter or just place it there. Normally you could use the flywires to connect to a breadboard, but since you don't normally need all the wires and many of them will just get in your way, we placed the right angle connector on the adapter that is directly connected to the Discovery and you can take just what you need on the breadboard using shorter and fewer wires, so your design will be cleaner and you can see the connections easier. There is also the breadboard breakout in the package that is used to connect directly to a breadboard but that was made after this one. I hope this helps, Bianca
  18. @cfowler, Please don't remove the fuse. I'll move the thread to private @asmi, You are right, this shouldn't have happened. I know we have issues with back powering through HDMI but it shouldn't be enough to keep the board working, or burn the fuse or other components. Bianca
  19. Hi @cfowler, Normally, Adept is not build to see the ZYNQ. The fact that it showed the FPGA part, still, shows like something is working. Please make sure that when you try to see the target on Vivado, Adept is closed otherwise Vivado would not recognize the device. If with Adept closed, Vivado still doesn't recognize the target, please check, if in device manager you have the device enumerated when you connect and turn on the board. It should appear as Serial Converter, if it doesn't show up at all or enumerates as unknown device or in some other way, please let me know. If it shows as unknown device, I am also interested in the Hardware ID in the Properties -> Details tab. When you say, you are "ONLY left with a dim led that turns on and off with the board" you say that the light is dim compared to how you remember it before the event but otherwise it works well like turning on when you switch the board on, or that is flashing and resets the board? The values provided on the measurements above, show that the power supplies are working and they provide the desired voltages. Please also give me the serial number of your Zybo, you can find it on the bottom side or on the box. Regards, Bianca
  20. Hi @edwin001, Normally, it should be able to provide the +/- 0.1% with the factory calibration. I can't tell what kind of event caused the device to have a not very accurate factory calibration on certain scales. The good news is that the device is not defective, however, it does imply that if you want to use the user calibration, you have to calibrate the ranges you might use. If you want to have all the the functionality, then all the ranges need calibration Best regards, Bianca
  21. Just to add to what Cristian said, What do you mean by lower accuracy and on what scales? are you setting each scale for each reading when performing the measurements? If you are doing a measurement on 5A for 200mA the results will be lower in accuracy. Are these errors constant on all the resistance and current scales, or just one here and there? Can you point out which scales have issues? We would like to see some example of a measurement that you say it's giving errors. Is the accuracy 0.2 instead of 0.1 or we are talking about 1% or greater? The accuracy of 0.1% should be with the factory calibration. Regards, Bianca

Hi @sktam We contacted Xilinx to ask about the Vivado support with the Digilent cables and they said that the latest public hw_server (2019.2) supports Digilent cables programming Versal devices. Therefore if you have a Digilent cable you can continue using it for vck190 eval board and on your “chip-down” Versal design. Best regards, Bianca
  23. Hi @sktam, We don't have an answer for you yet as we never tested the Versal with our programming solutions nor have heard anything from Xilinx. We know that Versal has a new High Speed Port for Programming/Debugging but not if it still supports JTAG config and debugging. We'll get back to you as soon as we have an answer.     Altium Files

    @elAmericano Hi Jerome, To add to Ana-Maria's answer, most of our products are not open source. We have some chipkit boards that are open source and therefore we had published the eagle project with all their files. The rest of the products are not open source, therefore we are not releasing the project files. We are providing the PDF of the schematic (without the proprietary programming solution) for users to be able to have access to the main components on the board and not rely just on the XDC files when they're developing the projects. It's also a good way to troubleshoot in case something is not behaving as you expect. I understand that developing from scratch is a lot of work. I've taken your request to legal department.
