Hi, I am not sure if i choosed the right forum part to post this topic, please advise if it is not here it should be posted. I have an AD2, i have noticed that the WFs sends packets to a .0 IP addresses from a Linux machine and not from a Windows machine (please see screenshots attached). Have you guys any explanation or clue about this? Best regards, Mohammed

Is it possible to use AD2 and Waveforms to decode RS485 and RS232 interface?

Hi @JColvin and thank you for the reply! I am a little bit confused and don't know where to start. AD2 and WFs are great and powerful tools. I have red through the posts you mentioned, from what i understood that i can use Protocol feature to decode RS485 signals? Does not it make more sense to use Logic Analyzer to do that? Could you please provide some examples on how to make a custom decoder for RS485? Regards, Moha -
I have searched a little and understood that either i can use Script or Python, is this right? RS485 and RS232 has two differential lines, is it better to start with I2C or UART example? I would appreciate help figuring out the steps to do this if it is doable.
