  1. Actually, the error message says that “…/hardware/pic32/compiler/pic32-tools/bin/../lib/gcc/pic32mx/4.5.2/../../../../pic32mx/bin/ld.exe: function at exception vector 3 too large …/hardware/pic32/compiler/pic32-tools/bin/../lib/gcc/pic32mx/4.5.2/../../../../pic32mx/bin/ld.exe: function at exception vector 24 too large …/hardware/pic32/compiler/pic32-tools/bin/../lib/gcc/pic32mx/4.5.2/../../../../pic32mx/bin/ld.exe: Link terminated due to previous error(s). collect2: ld returned 1 exit status” I looked at the pic32-gcc.exe file. It turned out that there is something called pic32-gccbug file right below it. Do they relate to each other please? Thanks, Jack
  2. Thank you James! The author of this code said that they used MPIDE 0022 in the readme.txt file. Here is what it said: "Tested on MPIDE 0022 - 2011.12.14. One modification is required: compiler optimisations must be disabled. This is required so that the compiler doesn't produce unpredictable code, or multiple code paths for the same bit of source code. So we do this to ensure our code is deterministic. To disable compiler optimisations, edit <MPIDE_folder>/hardware/pic32/platforms.txt and replace all instances of '-O3' with '-O0'." The code did not work in MPIDE0023. I tried to disable compiler optimisations in MPIDE 0023, but did not find anything called '-O3' in the platforms.txt. Do you know whether this matter or not please? Thanks, Jack
  3. Thank you JColvin! I found the plib.h library. The code that I am using is called a PineBlaster code. It can be found on-line. http://labscriptsuite.org/hardware/pineblaster/ This code was written in MPIDE0022, so I guess this is why it does not work on my computer since I am using MPIDE0023. Do you know where I can download MPIDE0022 please? Thanks, Jack
  4. Yeah I think this is the file that I'm looking for. It still seems not working. Do you know where I can download MPIDE0022 please? I am using MPIDE0023 and this might be a problem for the code that I'm using. Thanks, Jack
  5. I see. I found pin 5 corresponding to OC2. Thank you! Jack
  6. Hi, I need a library called <plib.h>. Seems it is a quite commonly used library, but I could not find anything to download on-line. Could someone point me to where I should download it please? Thanks, Jack
  7. Hi, I bought a Max32, and need to find out which one is pin 3 and which one is pin 5. Is there a spread sheet available for all the pin names please? Thanks, Jack
  8. Hi, I need to input a 50 ome 1 volt sine wave to Max32 under External Clock mode. Does Max32 only take square waves? Will this do any damage to my equipment please? Thanks, Jack
  9. Thank you Bobby! We will post a picture if we can unsolder the oscillator and replace it! -Jack
  10. Actually, does it come with an evaluation board please? J.
  11. Hi, Does anyone know whether I can replace the crystal oscillator in Max32 with some other oscillators please? I have a 10 MHz master clock, and want to use this clock in the microcontroller. Is it easy to replace the oscillator? Or do I need to unsolder something? Thanks, Jack
  12. Thanks a lot Bobby! That was very helpful.
  13. Hi I am interested in buying a chipKIT Max32™ Prototyping Platform(part number 410-202P-KIT). However, since this is the first time that I use chipKIT, I have some questions about it. First of all I wonder whether I need to buy something else along with Max32 or not? Does it have an evaluation board or development kit with it? Or should I buy it separately? Also, do I need some additional processes or parts (like an adaptor board) to run Max32? At last, I wonder how it can be synchronized with an external clock and how to adjust the frequency that it runs please? Thanks, Jack
